During this recovery time, he was very strictly guarded by the pirates, they apparently did not want him to leave. When he had recovered enough, they brought him back on board, and as they informed him that if he'd ever did something like that again.... He did not wait to hear the full threat, as he rushed to the edge of the ship and jumped into the ocean. Instead of swimming outward, he turned around under water and swam back under the ship, and between the ship and the shore slowly came back up, waiting and hearing the threats and the swearing of the pirates. They could not find him, and volley after volley of arrows hitting the water where he used to be later, they decided to sail away. Baruk waited by the shoreline for a few minutes, and then climbed on land. He had to make his way to Jhelom and warn his family, but he had no idea how, as he did not even know where he was now.
